Food and Football

Sad news, people. I did not show up at the football BBQ until after the grilling was over. No pictures were taken. Rest assured, we had some fantastic eats. Dave's Korean BBQ was so flavorful and tender. My ice cream turned out great and Bart's Ginger Pale Ale was an absolute winner. Lee, from Stone Brewery, stopped over and loved the home brew. Some pretty high praise, indeed.

So, even though all of our teams lost (and Bart took a decided loss in boxing) we had a great time!

Football Season

Expect some new pictures this evening. Bart's friend, Dave, is brining some Korean BBQ to grill, I made Chi ice cream and Orange Dream ice cream, and Bart is debuting the Ginger Pale Ale! An exciting afternoon!

Grillmania!

You would not believe the festival of grilling that has been taking place here in San Diego. I cannot pretend I am the originator of all this fabulous grub. My main role is to offer encouragement and pour beer.

Check out this beautiful tri-tip steak. Served with some corn, mushrooms, and a beautiful Belgium ale, it did not last long!

Last weekend the Bart cooked up some Jamaican Jerk Chicken. So good and flavorful - and spicy! A home grown habanero was tossed into the marinade. My contribution was the famous (well, famous with two people) Red Red Rice. Add a piece of corn and a fine ale And you have some good eats, my friends!

By the way, something in the mix gave me the hives:
